WWII Korean War JET ACE 6.5 VICTORY US Air Force Medal Document Photo Group Lot

NOTE: I HAVE MANY MORE PHOTOS DETAILING THIS GROUP I CAN SEND TO INTERESTED BUEYRS. Huge group from USAF Colonel George L. Jet Ace in US History, and one of 40 Aces of the Korean War flying F-86s and scoring 6.5 aerial victories over enemy MiGs. Included is a packet of research to include copies of his medal citations, of which they are long, detailed, and quite valorous. His son was a 101st Airborne Div.

Intelligence section Officer in Vietnam and includes some of his items as well. Engraved slot brooch SS Medal (unique hand engraving, possibly local Korean done). Engraved Wrap brooch Legion of Merit. Slot Brooch Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, other medals as shown.

Engraved Air Force Achievement medal. All medals have their coffin or blue boxes, many with ribbons or lapel pins. AP photos from the Korean War about Jones, shooting down MiGs, some with fellow Ace Gabby Gabreski.

Korean War Ace list photo. 60s photo album (empty as all photos were removed but included). Lots of photos of Col, Jones, aircraft, bases, a lot of award presentations.

A HUGE folder with all of his paperwork (roughly 10lbs on its own) from about 1940 - 1950. Many of his WWII letters, there are censored ones form the Pacific, I only read one and it talked about flying a mission over the Japanese homeland. A LOT more not shown from his time in the service all the way to post-service award type items. Letters home from his service in Vietnam (I have not read any of these so content is unknown). Airborne helmet, liner, and cover. Air Force Korea Bullion patch, 50s Colonels eagles, and pin back sterling Senior Pilot Wings are period originals added for display and included. Overall there is over 55 lbs of material in this group.

With there only being 40 Aces of the Korean War, and even fewer KW Ace known to exist on the market, this is a RARE one of a kind group. IF IT'S TOO LOW, I'LL PAY THE DIFFERENCE.
