Vtg 50s Werber Sportswear USN Leather MIL-J-7823 (AER) Type G-1 Flight Jacket 38

A fantastic original mid 1950s vintage Werber Sportswear Inc US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics MIL-J- 7823 (AER) brown goatskin leather (1.6kg) Type G-1 flight bomber jacket with Talon zip (Canada is embossed on the back), mouton fur collar, chin strap & USN painted on the back of the collar. The leather is in nice condition with just signs of light general wear & a couple of tiny scuffs, but no damage or heavy wear. The fur collar is good but for one small area of wear and the lining is mostly great with just a couple of tiny holes below the collar line. The elasticated ribbing is all original and is decent but for a handful of small holes in the hem and a little wear to the cuffs.

None of the wear is enough that they will need replacing. The main issue the jacket has is the zip is broken as i just can't get it to connect a the bottom.

This might well be fixable but i certainly can't. It has a little surface dirt so it might benefit from a clean to freshen it up. This is all reflected in the price. Please see all images to get a complete picture of the condition.

The label reads Size 38. Please check the exterior measurements carefully to ensure the right fit. Measurements in inches - Pit to pit - 20 1/2.
