








Army M-1951 fishtail parka with original pile liner, dating to the Korean War era. This example was manufactured by Kravin Park Clothes under a January 27, 1951 Quartermaster contract, making it a desirable early M-51 with correct materials, hardware, and construction details. These parkas were issued as extreme cold-weather outer shells and later became iconic both in military history and civilian fashion. This is an original piece - not a reproduction. Early-authenic-handsewn repairs (zig-zag stitch) This unique feature creates a raw and desirable look. This parka shows honest wear consistent with age and use. Shell has areas of fabric wear and small holes/abrasions, including on the sleeve and chest.
Wear appears consistent with age-related cotton degradation. Liner is in good vintage condition, pile remains intact, a couple low-pile wear areas (photos referenced). There's a hole in the wool of the left interior sleeve (photos referenced). Zipper and buttons are present and original.
No modern repairs or alterations. This piece is best suited for collectors, display, study, or careful restoration.This piece is well constructed and could be worn as " Patriotic Badge Street Wear".
