Vintage North Korean Kumsong Chinyu (?) Medal / Badge DPRK Collectible

This is an authentic vintage North Korean award badge, featuring the inscription???? (Kumsong Chinyu / "Kumsong Guards"). Front Design: Gold starburst with a red banner, central depiction of the Kumsong Revolutionary Site Monument, an important landmark in North Korean revolutionary history. ("Democratic People's Republic of Korea Central Office"). Attachment: Original pinback clasp still intact.

Material: Enamel and metal with gilt finish. Condition: Displays signs of age, with minor wear and patina consistent with use and storage (see photos).) designation commemorates the Battle of Kumsong during the Korean War, one of the last major battles before the armistice in July 1953.
