Vintage Korean War Zippo pat. 2032695 with repair box and 1956 zippo work ticket

Korean War steel case Zippo. In order to conserve brass for ammo, Zippo starting in early 1951 to make Zippo's cases and inserts out of steel with a chrome plate finish. Number 2032695 was used early 1951 until early 1953, when it was changed to 2517191 pat.

This Zippo has the correct pat. I've never seen a repair/work ticket from this era, return/repair box is correct for 1956 era. It has some damage from someone removing a sticker, otherwise pretty good condition.

Zippo is a double side with Army Corps of Engineers with HANK engraved, Zippo offered this type of engraving, it is listed in their early brochures. Unfired since wick and flint replaced. Truly an extraordinary example of early 1950's Zippo genre. The item "Vintage Korean War Zippo pat.
