Great addition to your collection! Jacket shows heavy wear from age, particularly along the shoulders.... But remains intact and fairly sturdy. Original period patch and leather name tag remain firmly affixed on the front, and shows some light scratching and mild discoloration.

Notable Mentions: HMX-1 was commissioned in 1947, in order to develop the idea of using transport helicopters to attack enemy shores. During the Korean War, the HMX-1 helicopters were mainly observational and rescue units, until the became a training command.

In 1957, President Eisenhower had to use an HMX-1 to quickly get to Air Force One, as he was dealing with the Little Rock Nine crisis.
