For sale here is an unusual US Korean War Era M5A1 Bayonet by Milpar. This bayonet has a straight checkered handle that i have never seen before, even on other Milpar made bayonets.

The bayonet has been sharpened and has a reshaped tip. The blade shows use and wear.

The underside of the crossguard is marked Milpar Col U. The button is functional and is easy to press.

The blade has a grey patina. The pommel, slot, crossguard, and button all show wear and have a grey color as well. The handle plates are black plastic. The handle scales are attached with two different screws and nuts.

The scales show use, wear, and soiling. The scales are fairly nice, but are definitely used.

Instead of the diagonal checkering that is normally encountered on M5 variants, this has straight line checkering. This is a heavily used bayonet, but does have rare handle scales.
