US Military Korean War Era Evacuation/Casualty Insulated Bag Sleeping Down fill

US MILITARY SURPLUS KOREAN WAR ERA EVACUATION / CASUALTY BAG Rare to find one in this good of condition. Does not appear to have ever been used.

No tears, rips, stains, dry rot or repairs have been made. Does not have any smell or odor that I can tell. I don't think there is another bag out there that is still in this good of condition. I would say it is museum quality. Hard to believe this is over 65 years old and in this condition still.

Looks like it was just issued. Would make a great extreme cold sleeping bag or a great piece of history to own. Coyote fur trim with wire frame to allow the bag to close around everything but your face.

Fur is very nice and wire is pliable to hold the fur up and away from your face. Has four heavy duty zippers that allow you to open and access different areas without exposing your whole body to the elements. Has two sets of connected straps that allow you to roll it up and tighten it. Please feel free to ask any questions. These bags where developed during the Korean War to keep the wounded protected from sub-freezing temperatures. There are 7 lbs of prime feather filling, the upper part is ALL Down, the lower part is 40% Down and 60% water foul feather. The outer shell is durable Olive Drab cotton. The inside is a durable Khaki cotton lining.

A full length heavy duty metal zipper also zips up both sides of face. There is a real coyote fur trim hood for maximum warmth and protection. VERY warm bag, great for hunting, camping, collecting. Measurements: 90" from top of head to foot, 35" wide at shoulders and 25 wide at feet.
