Here is perhaps the nicest M84 that I've had my hands on, it's complete with base and the ever elusive mounting plate that goes on the rifle itself. COMPLETE scope with the following issues: The screw on the side was ground down flush possibly to mount this on some other type of rifle.
Please review my photos(BOTTOM ROW) carefully. A few screws (all shown in my photos) show signs of use, ie'buggering' but the damage is minimal. The photos do not do it justice, in hand it looks SO much better.
Rubber is soft and pliable, no cracking. The scope's viewing field is clear and crisp with just two very minor flecks/spots at the 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock positions to keep it from being perfect. I have no idea if this dirt? Can be removed/cleaned or not. The glass is perfect, no scratches. This is a clean, complete unit marked with the serial number 43629 and maker number 7667424 which indicates being made by Libby-Owens-Ford or Leupold Stevens co. NY pat number and Oct 13, 31'The Case is marked 3-10-52 and is the m65 model. This is the entire set, not just a scope tube. Would be hard to upgrade and despite the issues mentioned, the optics are quite usable even by today's standards. One last time- please look at my photos carefully. I've adjusted my price to take into account the mount being a civilian version.
