US Korean War Children's Japan Theater Made Tour Jacket Eagle Map Reversible 2

For sale here is a very cool and small Korean War US Navy Tour Jacket. The Jacket is fully reversible! One side of the jacket features a purple silk or satin body with white striped sleeves. The purple side features an eagle in front of a mountain with the word Japan on the back and decorative dragon scenes on the front.

The other side features a green body with white striped sleeves. The back of the green side features a map of Japan and Korea. Both sides of the jacket feature pockets and the jacket has different color sleeve and waist cuffing. The jacket has a Kokura Tokyo zipper that starts and works, but will split back open if pulled.

The jacket is in worn condition and does have soiling and age. All of the decorative tour stitching is in great shape.

These tuft stitching on the green side is coming loose in places and some of the sleeve stitching is coming loose, but the jacket is structurally sound. The white sleeves show heavier soiling near the cuffs.

This is small, but is actually a great display size. For reference the armpit to armpit measurement is 15" and the sleeve is approximately 14" to the shoulder break area. This is a great looking piece of history. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
