Classic US Army "cargo" M51 trousers and, given age, in almost perfect condition. Originally issued during the Korean War and designed to complement the M51 field jacket and/or the M51 parka these trousers are made from a solid, heavy duty cotton (the trousers and removable liner together weigh almost 2kg) in OG107 colour and trousers come with an original vintage Rapid branded metal zip and with all ties and straps fully intact.
There are a couple of almost unnoticeable marks (see pics) but apart from that these trousers look almost completely unused with no fraying on the ankle hems, fading of the colour or signs of use. All original buttons and poppers are intact and present. The liner looks like it's been added at a later date but is still the original alpaca wool pile liner issued during the 1950s.The waist has adjustable straps common on US Army trousers, which cinch the waist considerably and they have a roomy fit with a low hanging crotch. Full length from top of waist band to ankle hem 43inch. Inseam from crotch to ankle hem. This item is in the category "Collectables\Militaria\1946-1960".
