Super rare original KOREAN WAR 1952 USN MONARCH 7823 G1 flight jacket size 40

Rare Korean War 1952 USN Monarch 7823 (AER) flight jacket size 40/42. This is a super rare and beautiful Korean War USN.

7823 (AER) flight jacket in. Contract # N383s-80667 from 1952. This could be your daily wearer for many years to come.

This one is a size 40/42, and the second one a size 42. Size 40 label, but please check below the detailed measurements for correct fitting as this jacket actually fits like a. G1, M422a, ANJ-3, 55J14, 7823 (AER), 7823 A, 7823 B, A2, B3, M445, L2B, etc. I will continue to list other collector's items in the next 2 weeks including.

More details about the jacket. And both sides are perfectly symmetrical.

Gorgeous and in absolute perfect condition. With a very nice and rich dark chocolate color. The leather patina is incredible. The leather is incredibly strong. The leather is definitely the most spectacular and distinctiv asset of this jacket. No patches / nametag were ever stitched to this jacket. There is no "ghost" stitch holes. Perfect condition darkened brassConmar zipper from the 50s. Zipper box, insertion pin and tape are in perfect shape. And will last for many more years. The zipper was replaced at some point in time with an original and correct early Conmar zipper. It is almost impossible to see if you don't scrutinize every single hole. A few holes were missed at the level of the leather square at the bottom of the jacket. Interestingly, the zipper is mounted on the opposite side: the pull is on the left side, while it should be on the right one. I don't think the leather pull is original from the 50s. Good condition, but not perfect shape. There is an area that has dried out in the back. This is absolutely not visible when you wear the jacket. The area was dyed in the same color as the mouton, so this is hardly visible. The mouton has an awesome and super desirable "teddy bear" light brown color. The mouton totally works for now and is not deteriorating. My recommendation would be to keep it as is.

Actually, the mouton has not deteriorated in the past 15 years. "USN" is stencilled in the back of the collar, but is a bit faded. I believe the lining is not original and was professionally replaced with a really great satin green satin lining. The replacement lining looks exactly like an original Monarch lining with its distinctive thread in the middle of the lining's back panel.

Cuffs and waistband were professionally replaced at some point. The job has been almost perfectly done. The replacement cuffs and waistband seem to be original ones from the 50s. I think they last elasticity to my taste, but they are period original. Note that there is a tiny nip / hole on the right cuff.

Super nice and epic "Monarch style"-style scalloped pockets, with pencil pocket. Here are the detailed measurements. (between armpits - jacket zipped): 22 ¼ inches / 57.5cm. (top of zipper to bottom of zipper box): 23 ¼ inches / 59.5cm. (shoulder seam to end of cuff): 25 ¾ inches / 66cm. 2 ¾ inches / 7cm.

(straight across back at sleeve juncture): 18 ½ inches / 47.5cm. (base of collar to bottom of waistband): 26 ¼ inches / 67cm. As I did my best to capture every detail in the item description and through multiple pictures. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Militaria\Korea (1950-53)\Original Period Items".
