FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS AN ORIGINAL USN TASK FORCE 77 PATCH. FOR THE CARRIER USS HANCOCK CVA-19. This is a very nice condition, original cut-edge, machine embroidered 1950's or early 60's Japanese made Task Force 77 variant, pocket patch (approximately 6 3/4 x 5 inches), with mild wear and fraying. What makes this patch unique is the added carrier silhouette at the top left hand side of the patch. This patch most likely made during the interwar period between Korea and Vietnam since the USS Hancock did not participate in the Korean conflict due to her conversion and modernization which took place from 1951 through to her recommissioning in 1954.
