Worn by US paratroopers when jumping with the M-1 Garand rifle. Marked CASE INDIVIDUAL WEAPON PARACHUTIST M1950. Manufactured by JQMD, this jump case was for airborne troops to safely jump from a plane with their M1 Garand inside. This M-1950 or Model 1950 was an improvement over the WWII drop case, as this case is long enough to accommodate a M1 Garand rifle without breaking it down into the three main groups. All of our examples are dated from the very early 1950's making them Korean War era.
