These helmets all came from the same estate but unfortunately we do not know the name of the Officer that wore them. This is an Original "as found" U. Army M1 Combat Helmet, Late WWII or Korean War era. The helmet has Lt Colonel insignia soldered to the front (close inspection you can barely see the solder, it is NOT glued). The Steel Pot has a stainless steel rim with the seam to the FRONT. The OD chinstraps are original factory sewn. The Pot has a heat stamp of 61 B. The liner has Westinghouse and Capac markings with 51-53 dates. It also looks like a Korean War era repaint. The webbing is in good condition, a crack on the back of the liner but still very strong.
I have tried to give every detail I can think of but might have forgotten something so Please look at the detailed pictures and ask me questions! Excellent Original Helmet for any serious Military Collection! You will receive the Helmet pictured. See my other listings for more U. I will not be held responsible if the package does not arrive to you.
You have the same tracking information that I do. Description of item is correct to the best of my knowledge at the time of listing. Condition as stated is what I deem as an accurate assessment of the condition and integrity of the product.
