Grouping of items formerly belonging to major " jimmy " M WILD MBE. 1st battalion Middlesex regt DCO. Former B company Company sergeant major Wild. Service included combat at Chongju and Chongchon. Measuring approx 50cm x 90cm almost 2 foot by 3 foot. # radio code book for " lucky break D Coy " with insert code panels for sending quick to the point messages. Measuring 24.5cm x 15cm , unique used in battle. # # The officers mess " korean club " regimental banners of the 1st battalion.
Two used in Hong Kong by the regt band and in Korea in the field to locate the officers HQ. Each of velvet with bullion detail crown over monogram tassel to bottom edges. On reverse, one faint, reads. "To preserve this banner do not fold or roll, BOOSEY & HAWKES LTD LONDON ". 50cm x 47cm with copper ended wooden poles.
On reverse some rust marks from metal clips where fittings for hanging have been removed. Black backing one has a few holes in silk.Overall both in good used condition. # ams 2 1950 korea military map titled " kiyang ni ". In oversized field cover this has some writing on where used and not all wiped off. One side print only paper map measures appox 60cm x 55cm. Showing the Taedong Gang river to centre.
