KOREAN WAR U. S. MARINE CORPS M1 HELMET withCAMOUFLAGED

This is a nice Korean War U. Marine Corps M1 steel helmet that remains in good field used condition. The shell is with swivel bales and undented. The chinstraps are of light khaki colored canvas webbing with steel adjustment buckles at the ends. The are some light rust stains to the straps and the dog-eared clip is missing from the end of the longer strap.

There is no fraying to the chinstraps at the point of attachment on the bales. The 2nd pattern frog skin pattern camouflaged cover is in place over the shell and with printed Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor lightly stenciled at the front. It is with the slits for additional camouflaged foliage. The liner is by the Seamen Paper Company and marked with the letter S within an oval logo in the dome.

It is with light khaki webbing that is heavily worn and with a few tears. The leather sweatband is dark from use and age.
