Korean War U. S. M1 Steel Combat Helmet Complete & Excellent

Here we have a fine Korean War M1 steel combat helmet that remains in excellent condition. The steel shell is with rear seam and swivel bails. The exterior is with the original OD green paint and rough cork aggregate finish. The chinstraps are dark OD green colored and are with clip fittings at the bales. The ends are with the black finished steel hook, claw, and ball release buckle. Just forward of the left bale is the old surplus store price of 2.50 in black marker. This could be removed if desired. The liner is a World War II type by Westinghouse and marked with W within a circle logo on the interior dome.

The webbing is light khaki in color and complete with both the knap and leather chinstraps. The leather sweatband is in place and darkened from use but remains pliable and undamaged. A nice combat used veteran that undoubtedly saw service in both WWII and Korea and remains in excellent, undamaged condition.
