This is a fine Korean War Royal Australian Infantry Sergeant's Battle Dress Uniform with all original insignia that is in excellent condition. It is constructed of the typical coarse brown wool and has two pleated flap top breast pockets. Attractively cross stitched to each shoulder is a Royal Australian Infantry arc embroidered in white cotton thread on a red wool background. Below this is a square red cotton crossed swords brigade patch and below that is a Sergeant's woolen rank chevron.
Sewn to the lower left sleeve is a "QI" patch for Qualified Instructor. Buttoned around the right shoulder is a red lanyard. Sewn above the left breast pocket is a 2-place ribbon bar with ribbons for the Commonwealth Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Medal. There is Regimental Number and Unit inked on the tag, but this is very hard to make out.
The size is listed as, "7½". A fine "Digger" Battle Dress that remains in excellent condition. Please do not ask for additional measurements as these historic uniforms are to be respected and honored. They have done their service and are now to be preserved and cared for.
