This is a fine Korean War U. Marine Corps M1 Helmet with HBT camouflaged cover that is in excellent to near mint condition. The steel shell is with front seam and swivel bails. The chinstraps and liner suspension are of dark green colored webbing with fraying on the edges of the chinstraps at the bales. The ends are with dark finished steel J hook and claw release buckle.
The camouflage cover is with slits for additional camouflage. It is constructed of herringbone twill and has been cut for the chinstraps. The cover retains vivid color and is maker marked and dated April 1953. The front is with a stenciled eagle, globe, and anchor insignia. The liner is by CAPAC and marked with their cross logo on the interior dome.
It is complete with both a 1953 dated knap strap and light tan leather chinstrap with green adjustment buckle. The leather sweatband is in place exhibiting light use and remaining pliable and undamaged. The front seam can be felt through the cover. This is a choice Marine Corps M1 steel helmet that is in complete and close to mint condition.
