Korean War Era Gunners Coat Alpaca Lined Militaria

I received this coat from my father in the 70's. Here's what I was told...

This is a Korean War Era Gunners Coat. COULD have been my father's during the war (Navy Gunner's Mate) but I have no way to prove it. Long Sleeve, knee length, fully lined. Waist and hood drawstrings are intact. Alpaca Lined including hood (the lining is fully intact and a mix of Alpaca and Wool). Size label isn't marked BUT I would guess this to be a Large (possibly XL). Zipper has broken and will need repair/replacement. I didn't want to force it to forsake any additional damages. There are 2 grease stains on the back (see photos) and a small hole on front (LH/Lower). This is a used coat, more than 70 years old. It should be applying for Medicare and Social Security.
