One Korean War era Dutch TA-3017 field telephone. This item is a complete and original piece. These telephones are based on the American WW2 era EE-8 field telephone.
These are essentially an exact copy with the exception of a Bakelite body in place of a sheet metal one. First introduced in the early 1950s, these likely saw action during the Korean War.
These telephones could have also seen service in actions concerning the Dutch military through to the 1970s. The main body of the telephone and all of the outside parts appear to be present. There is no guarantee that all parts are present. The only serious defects are on the canvas case and the Bakelite body. The canvas has some minor scratches and discoloring but not so serious as to threaten its structural integrity. The body, however, is in a worse state. At the end of the body closest to the handset, there are major cracks and a few pieces of Bakelite have come free. Most of the pieces are still present and the situation can be amended with some super glue but it is still a serious detractor.
