Korean War Captured Chinese BUGLE, Inscribed Chipyong-Ni Co. B 23rd Inf (US Army)

This is a very unusual piece to find. It is an original Chinese Communist Army bugle that was used in the Battle of Chipyong-Ni in the Korean War. This piece shows considerable signs of being used in the battle, including what appears to be a bullet hole.

It was captured by Co. B 23rd Infantry, the U. Army on February 15, 1951. This piece has an inscription which reads, Chipyong, Korea, In Memory of Sgt. Griffiths, Feb 15, 1951, Co. The piece has Chinese makers marks as is shown in one of the photos as well and is believed to be silver plated. The bugle measures approximately 16.75 total length.
