Korean War 503rd MP helmet

A very nice but somewhat salty lid. Has some surface rust along the rim of the steel shell, liner is original to the shell. MP logo is handpainted as well as the red rectangles and the 503rd insignia. The 3rd AD is a period decal. There is a laundry number on the liner, however its very hard to read, but if someone is able to read it theres a very good chance it can be IDd as the 503rd MP company has a roster for their postwar troops online.

Liner I believe is made by westinghouse, theres just too much dust for me to see the logo properly. Along the outside of the shell theres also a lot of writing, most likely written there as a going away gift. The item "Korean War 503rd MP helmet" is in sale since Sunday, April 29, 2018.
