Korean War 1953 Rare Usmc 1st Marines 1st Division Clearcut Lighter-excel. Shape

For sale is a 1953 USMC First Marine Division ClearCut lighter. This 64-year-old 4 barrel lighter is in excellent condition with a tight lid, perfect alignment, and good snap. What appears to be dark streaks on some of the pictures are reflections from the lens of the camera and are not on the lighter itself.

It measures 2 1/4" high by 1 3/8" wide, has only a few minor scratches and very little wear for its age. On the front is the famous and unique diamond shaped 1st Marine Division logo that displays the traditional red, white and blue colors of the United States. Against a dark blue field, the red number "1" is inscribed with "GUADALCANAL" in recognition of the Division's victory in that battle during the Second World War.

Five white stars on the front represent the Constellation of the Southern Cross under which Guadalcanal resides. On the back, there is the inscription 1st MARINES 1ST MARINE DIV. The bottom of the lighter reads REG. TRADE MARK ClearCut DRAGON MFG COMPANY.

The Division not only distinguished itself in WW II but also in Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq. Please see the pictures and ask questions.
