KOREAN WAR AME RI CAN VINTAGE 1950'S AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL LARGE FORMAT BLACK & WHITE PHOTOGRAPH of US ARMY SARGEANT with YOUNG KOREAN BOY in TENT, PERHAPS GIVING. ENGLISH LESSON, with BOY HOLDING PAPERS, WEARING GI OVER-SIZED MILITARY. Authentic, original, in-country Ame ri can photographic plates from the Korean War. 14" Height x 11" Width. An original,'in-country,' authentic, period black and white photograph from the Korean War, featuring a US Army Sargeant ostensibly giving an English lesson to a young Korean boy in a U S Army canvas tent. The boy is wearing over-sized U S GI military fatigues, as well as oversized U S Army boots, holding papers in his hands and looking attentively over toward the U S Army Sargeant, leaning forward holding some kind of educational book or pamphlet in his hands. They both are sitting on a wooden, criss-cross, fold-out cot and there's a lantern or heater on the floor in front of them. This is an original, authentic period item and a large folio, black and white photographic plate, printed on glossy, reflective photo paper. There are hints of sepia brown and yellow ochre that occur on the plate.
It's unsigned but is estate fresh and new to the marketplace. It was found with other Korean War era ephemera and other personal war items from a former U S GI who served in the war. Compelling and an original, authentic Korean War artifact.
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
