The Jet fighter age was still in its infancy but the Russian Mig-15 was by far the premier air superiority fighter of that war, but the superior training of U. Pilots more than compensated for it. Still the Mig-15 in the hands of veteran Russian Pilots during that conflict took its toll on U.

In final analysis the combat advantages of the Mig-15 were held in check and the Kill to loss ratio was highly in favor of the F-86. Historically though the Mig-15 was a tough combat ready fighter. In its footsteps would follow the bevy of Mig developed fighters that would be formidable opponents, but the historic Mig-15 was the first.
