GENTEX NYLON LEATHER PILOT HELMET LINER 40's KOREAN WAR USN U. Up for your consideration is this gently worn, Gentex Cloth Helmet Liner. This liner would of been worn by pilots and radio communication personnel. Please be sure to see the other items we have listed. FEATURES: Gentex Cloth Helmet Liner. We believe this cloth liner is from the 1940's/Korean War era. The cloth, mesh netting and straps are a khaki green. We believe this to be for a United States Navy pilot. The inside product label on the backside of liner states'57.

H-4-1.7-1/8 Gentex, General Textile Mills, Inc. New York, NY USA Pat. On the top of one of the snaps, it is imprinted with'Pull The Dot'. The only other marking we could find was stamped in black ink on the right side leather patch for chin strap snaps, it is a circle with I S on the top, a fat arrow pointing downward in the middle and 607 at the bottom. They ear coverings are black rubber on the exterior and a padded moss green velvet on the interior.

The 3/4 chin strap has a black metal snap and a tri-glide buckle for size adjustment. There is another adjustable ribbon type strap at the very back, down by the neck, it too has a black tri-glide buckle for size adjustment.

There are four panels of very fine mesh netting, two above the ears and two on the top of the head. The black rubber around the ears on the exterior is to aid in keeping headphones comfortably in place. There is a very soft, like lambskin, thin layer of leather on the inside of the cloth piece that covers the forehead. This is a super cool helmet liner and it is in excellent shape! INCLUDED: The actual Gentex Cloth Helmet Liner as pictured.

NOT-INCLUDED: No original box, packaging, or paperwork. No props used for size reference. SIZE: When laid flat and measured from the top of the head to under the ear area, it is about 10.

When measured from the front of the head to the back, it is 10-1/2. TYPE: Collectibles, Militaria, Hats & Helmets.

CIRCA: Likely around the 1940's era. MATERIAL: Canvas, N ylon Mesh, Leather and Rubber. CONDITION: This comes to you in excellent condition. This has all of its original buckles, snaps and straps. There are no stains, snags or any other flaws.
