[1899 1981] was a United States Army major general during World War II and the Korean War. General Dean was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions and leadership during the Battle of Taejon in South Korea. General Dean was the commander of the 24th Infantry Division at the outbreak of the Korean War and led his division for several weeks in delaying battles against superior North Korean forces.
General Dean and his 24th Infantry Division made a last stand at Taejon were the general was seperated from his soldiers and severely injured. Dean was eventually captured by North Korean forces and was held as a prisoner of war until the war end. Signed on a custom autograph card.
