From on-line research it appears this is a US style-M4 bayonet made by Carl Eickhorn of Germany for both commercial and military sales. The blade appears to be some form of stainless steel. The grip appears to be one piece and the pommel attached to the tang with a Phillips screw.
The only marking is USM4 on the blade side of the guard. There are no apparent markings on the USM8A1 style scabbard. NEW NOTE: As I have been going through my collection to list-M4 bayonets and scabbards, I came a cross another Eickhorn-M4 that has a scabbard marked U. M8A1" above "`MADE IN W.
From several sources it appears that is the correct scabbard Eickhorn issued with their M4-bayonets. I do have another scabbard that has the same markings and is also in new addition. I have attempted to include multiple photos showing condition of the bayonet and scabbard. If requested, I will provide additional photos.
