For sale is a complete set of Cold War and Korean War USGI M1 barrels... Years 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, and 1955.
A great xmas gift for the collector that has everything! All are Springfield Armory barrels, no import marks. This is a nice set, with some having a bit of surface rust and a few with some pitting on a few parts of exterior, but not much. This is a complete year set starting after WWII and ending in 1955. Not often you find a complete year set like this.
This set is to be used to hang on the wall of a man cave or to create military themed furniture, such as lamps, end tables, coat racks, etc. I have graded them non-shooters for one of 3 reasons... Muzzle wear, throat erosion or pitting in the bore/chamber. Not sure which on these particular barrels, but just know they are graded as non-shooters. If you really want ot know the TE or MW i can give it to you, but i have much better ones for shooters if that is what you are looking for...
Expect there to be some variance in the parkerizing colors, from a dark to grey to green, also expect there to be some surface rust, some will have pitting (particularly on top of chamber under where the lower handguard was attached), some may have tool marks, some will have bare spots on metal where the finish was worn off with time.... Bottom line is that these are all well used barrels, so just know they aren't perfect.
A great wall hanging gift set for the M1 collector or Vietnam Collector that has everything! If you happen to need more of these lower grade Garand barrels for a particular project or man cave display, please contact me.... NONE of them are imports... Not the first import mark!! I do have many USGI that will be good shooters ranging in dates from 1943 to 1955. A very few from 1942 and the early 1960s. M y higher grade barrels will be listed starting in january...
