BEAUTIFUL KOREAN WAR USN 1952 55J14 G1 flight jacket from L. This is a beautiful 1952 USN. 55J14 (AER) G1 flight jacket in. Unfortunately the label is missing. But I strongly believe this is the contract N383S-96273 from 1952, due to the very specific features of the jacket, most importantly the shape of the USN letters stenciled in the back of the collar, and of course the other features that are characteristic of Fosters 55J14 contracts: round collar, super scalloped pockets.

Foster was awarded 5 contracts for 55J14 between 1948 and 1952. If you believe this is a different contract, please kindly let me know. Size 42 , but please check below the detailed measurements for correct fitting. G1, M422a, M-445, B3, etc. I will continue to list other collectors items in the next 2 weeks including. More details about the jacket. Very well constructed and assembled. The area in the front - bottom of the jacket is not 100% symmetrical. Many jackets are constructed this way, so this is totally normal. Have a look at the photos. Left side of the collar does not fall exactly like the right side. If you push it in position it will stay.

This can easily be optimized if you want to do so in the future. Gorgeous and in absolute perfect condition. With a very nice and rich dark chocolate color.

No patches / name tag were ever stitched to this jacket. There is no ghost stitch holes.

Beautiful darkened Conmar zipper from the early 50s. The tape on the insertion pin is significantly used. I have had this jacket for over 10 years, and the tape has not deteriorated, but I believe it will ultimately and that you will have to replace this side of the zipper. Mouton is in perfect condition, with no bald spot, and super desirable teddy bear light brown color.

USN is stenciled in white in the back of the collar. Original lining is in perfect condition. Unfortunately, the label is missing. All the knits are original and. Super nice scalloped pockets, with pencil pocket.

(top of zipper to bottom of zipper box): 23 ¼ inches / 59cm. (shoulder seam to end of cuff): 26 inches / 66cm. 2 ¾ inches / 7cm.
