WW2 Korean War USMC Combat Field Utility Jacket Olive Drab ID'd Roy C. Dunmire and additional combat jacket. For this lot you are getting 2 jackets. This jacket doesn't have his name printed on it, but it came from his closet with all the other items I acquired. It appears that 1 of the sleeve cuff buttons is missing.
Other than that, it looks like all the original buttons are in place. This jacket most likely saw combat as the former owner spent lots of time in Korea.
The second jacket is in used condition. It appears that 2 of the original buttons were lost at one time, and 1 was replaced by another button. Also there are some holes on the back of one sleeve and in the armpit. Most of his items have his name labeled on them. But it came from his closet with the rest of the items. He was born in 1928 and served in Korea. He had an entire closet full of uniforms and military gear. One of the most interested items was his duffel bag where he wrote the places he'd been and the battles he took part in. The bag is part of another listing. Dunmire entered Korea as part of the First Marine Brigade. He was a forward observer with rifle company D of the 5th Marines. I found a large news article from the local Hutchinson News. It was published on Sunday April 1, 1951. I will try to add it as a photo for you to read. Most of the items I sell are used items from estate sales.
