1951 U. S. Army Medical Wool Blanket Korean War Faribault Mill Olive Drab

Army issue wool blanket dated June 15, 1951, manufactured by Faribault Woolen Mill Co. One of America's most respected historic wool producers. This example features a clear and well-preserved black U. Stencil with caduceus, the symbol of the U. Army Medical Department, indicating medical service property marking. The stencil remains bold, legible, and well centered, an increasingly uncommon feature on original Korean War-era blankets. Army Medical Department caduceus stencil.

Original sewn inspector label present. Condition: Very good vintage condition.

Two small moth holes only, each approximately ¼ or smaller, shown clearly from front and back in photos. One hole has a localized area of surface wool thinning where fibers were grazed but not eaten through. No additional holes, no edge damage, no repairs.
