1950s Korean War US Sampson Air Force Base Newsletter Publications Weekly Weeper

For sale is a large binder full of one-of-a-kind vintage 1950s Sampson Air Force Base amateur pre-press newsletter publications titled. These are the hand-crafted mock-up versions before they were processed and printed for hardcopy. This newsletter was published beginning in 1951 and appears to have been dispersed to the military personnel and recruits at the former Sampson Air Force Base in. Geneva, New York during the Korean War. The content is mostly comic in nature.

In it contains both handwritten and typed articles as well as hand-drawn illustrations and photos and magazine clippings. This binder contains 24 issues containing 6-10 pages each ranging from 1951 to 1955. Each issue is almost like a scrapbook. This is a very unique glimpse into military training life during the Korean War. I've never seen anything quite like it.

The photos I've posted here don't even began to describe this item. These newsletters have been handled a lot over the years but are still holding up quite well.

Some wear along the edges of most. A few minor tears and some fading. Some pages have come loose from the staples.

These have been placed in protective sleeves some time ago to keep them from any more damage. Overall, surprisingly good condition for their age. Please see photos for more details. Photos are part of the description. I make all effort to list any defects or damage in my listings.
