1950s JAPAN Reversible Bomber TOUR JACKET-Embroidered Silk-MAP-Korean War. Marked size: no size markings found. Over arm length (neck seam to cuff): 30. Under arm length (armpit to cuff): 22.

Armpit to bottom of waistband: 11 1/2. Waist width (width measured just above the ribbed waistband): 16. Vintage Korean War era souvenir jacket.

Striped ribbed wool cuffs, waistband and collar. Chromed brass zipper with chromed steel tab.

The blue / white side is quilted and features embroidered decoration on front (dragon and tiger) and back dragon, tiger, Mt. The black / white side features embroidered decoration on front (dragons) and back map of Japan with various cities identified, dragon, tiger, Mt. Markings: zipper marked "Tokyo" with 3 interlocking circles. No tags or other markings found. I recently acquired this jacket from the estate of the original owner.

In the bottom of the left interior pocket there is one small less than 1 diam. Light brown discoloration which I did not attempt to clean. Otherwise both pocket interiors are like new. There are a couple of small holes in the right ribbed cuff (see photos of the back of the right sleeve). These holes do not show when the jacket is reversed. This does not appear to be bug damage (I detect no bug damage to this jacket). On the right sleeve there is some minor unstitching to the piping near the cuff. There are a few small faint spots on the right front of the body that I did not attempt to clean.

On very close inspection you may detect a few small scattered spots on the white sleeves (again, I have not attempted to clean the jacket in anyway). None of this is conspicuous. CONDITION, BLUE / WHITE JACKET.

Minor unstitching to the left pocket trim. Small discoloration to the back of the right sleeve which I did not attempt to clean. Consult photos for all of this.

Apart from the issues described above this jacket is in excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations / repairs / modifications.

Condition is consistent with having been gently worn once or twice and then carefully stored away. No other stains / discolorations. No other holes to the ribbed elements. No holes in the silk.

No rips, tears, scuffs, cuts. Generally very clean as found. No pet, cigarette or other unpleasant odors. The pocket interiors are in excellent condition and generally look unused. The zipper is clean and functional with no issues.
