Wwii / Korean War Us Officers M1 Helmet Soldered Major Rank

WWII / KOREAN WAR US OFFICERS M1 HELMET - SOLDERED MAJOR RANK. WWII / KOREA US M1 Helmet with Soldered Major's Rank on the Steel Pot. The Helmet has a heavy brownish patina but you can still see the OD Green on both the Steel Pot and the Liner.

The Pot has a heat stamp 117 B. The seam is to the rear with swivel bails.

One bale loop is missing but the bale mount is stainless steel. It has Major's insignia that is soldered to the front, close inspection shows the solder and it is NOT glued. The rank has a patina that is dark like the rest of the helmet but you can still see some of the gold on it.

A small section of the rim has rusted on the left side and started to separate a little but overall the rim is solid. The WWII Liner is manufactured by WESTINGHOUSE. There have been some repairs to the webbing but it is overall a solid liner.
