WWII Korean War US M4 CASE Bayonet Fighting Knife M1 Carbine US M8A1

Rare wood handle Case US M4 Bayonet with US M8A1 PWH scabbard. Both in great condition and a great example that would make a great addition to your collection. I've not seen this style wood handle before. The diamond type pattern I've seen in the past being rare itself, but this style must be even more so.

I searched the web but have not found this style. I'm no expert so just my opinion.

One piece of info I found stated it's thought among collectors that the wood handles were Armory retrofits during the Korean War era. Blade measures 6 1/2" , knife is 11 1/2" overall.
