WWII / KOREAN WAR - US M1 FRONT SEAM HELMET - SOLDERED MAJOR RANK. M1 COMBAT HELMET - MAJOR.

Army M1 Combat Helmet, WW2/Korean War era. This Helmet has the rank insignia soldered to the front, (just like the Captain's helmet before it). Close inspection you can see the solder, it is NOT glued. The Steel Pot has a stainless steel rim with the seam to the FRONT. It retains most of it's cork texture and paint with some light rust patina. The OD chinstraps are machine sewn to the swivel bales. It has a heat stamp of 915F. The liner is a WWII era with WESTINGHOUSE markings and a 1953 stamp date (re-webbed in 53).
