WW2 to Korean War Chiang Kai-shek / Mao Zedong Chinese Mauser Rifle Wooden Stock

It has Chinese marking on the butt of the rifle stock that might be Korean War era. This rifle stock still has many of the metal parts such as the butt plate, strap loops, bayonet lug, etc. I show a WW1 German Mauser Bayonet mounted on the Bayonet lug. The Bayonet is not offered for sale in this listing, just the wooden rifle stock is offered for sale. The Chinese Mauser was a copy of the German Model 1989 Mauser Rifle.

There are slight differences between the two kinds of Mauser Rifles. There is a leather rifle strap, I don't know if it is original, the strap just comes with the rifle stock. This item is over 70 years old and in Used Condition. The wooden rifle stock is around 40 Inches long from butt to the end of the bayonet lug.

The sword weighs around 5 pounds LBS. The Bayonet is not offered for sale in this listing, it is just shown as a reference only. I showed this rifle stock to a local gun shop owner.

He pointed out some stress cracks in the wooden stock. I had a person in Taiwan say, The Chinese army will not make any mark on butt during World War II. This is the Chinese communist war that won the Civil War in 1949 and then passed through the Korean War.

The old rifles were handed over from the military to the militia units and were used until the 1980s! These words, the top two words is the name of the government commissioned private factories, the word in the box is a place name! So, this is probably an older WW2 era Chinese rifle stock that was used by the Communists in the Korean War era. Normally I have old used items in bad to good Used Condition.

They typically are in used condition and may have defects such as stains, moth holes, dirt, dents, scratches, etc. This item is old and things slowly get destroyed by time. Please do not expect something in new condition. These items are in used condition.

Most of the vintage items I list are not meant to be wearable clothing, or as usable items. The item was rough weighed in an open box.
