50s Hand Painted Patch Bomber Jacket. There are no tags or stamps to be found. However, it's of similar quality to Air Force issued jackets. The material is heavy and dense, and the Crown zipper is high quality/heavy duty. The painted patch is from the Air Force's. 64th Bombardment Squadron, of the. I'm afraid I don't have any history related to this specific jacket, so I can't say for sure if the patch was made at the same time as the jacket, or if it predates the jacket and was added on by a veteran. It looks like a large rectangular patch was removed from the center of the left sleeve. Material: Unmarked; feels like a heavy wool/nylon blend, like most flight jackets of the era.

Patch paint is a little faded and leather is worn. There are some small light white spots on the right sleeve and top front. Left sleeve and back have some snags and there is a missing patch spot on the left sleeve.

The cotton ribbing is in good shape. The fur collar may be a wool pile. It's in good shape.
