Vintage WWII Military Aircraft Fuel DROP TANK, P80 Shooting Star, Korean War WW2

Here is a very special item and a rare piece of aviation history! This is an authentic aircraft steel fuel drop tank that I was told may be from a mid 1940s-50s P80 Shooting Star. The length is approximately 10-10 and the height is about 2-2. As you can see from the photos, it is quite dented and has a few rusted through areas, but it is still solid and its mounting hardware remains intact.

I have not opened it up to see if any of the internal components remain, and I when I move it, I can hear some small loose debris (likely internal rust) inside. This is a great piece of aviation history and would make a fabulous display piece. Thanks for viewing this listing.
