Vintage M-1947 M47 Korean War US Air Force Parka With Liner Dated 1951

This is an original vintage M-1947 M-47 U. Air Force military cold weather parka. It is a used jacket. It came from a US Korean War veteran who used it in Korea during the War.

The makers tag is in the right lower pocket. The tag reads Overcoat, Parka Type With Pile Liner SMALL Air Force Stock No.

Dated 30 June 1951 and more. It is marked a small on the jacket collar area tag.

All the buttons and snaps are there and all work just fine. It has a Talon zipper and it works fine. There are 5 small holes - tears. One is on the left sleeve near the elbow area. Another 2 small ones are on the left shoulder area.

Another is on the left back near the left sleeve seam. And the last is on the hoods left side near the front. It has a few small spots. The end of the cuffs on both sleeves are frayed. It has its original belt. The liner is marked an M or medium. It fits in the jacket just fine.

The liners knit cuffs are in great shape. With the liner in some outside measurements are: armpit to armpit is 25 inches, shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 18 inches and shoulder seam to end of cuff is 26 inches.

It is a thick parka so the measurements will be smaller inside. Please scroll all the way down and read through everything. Most of my items are old, antique or in a used condition.
