Vintage M-1947 M47 Korean War US Air Force Parka & Liner Dated 1951

This is an original vintage M-1947 M-47 U. Air Force military Overcoat, Parka Type with Pile Liner.

It is a in Korea used jacket. The makers tag is in the right lower pocket. The tag reads Overcoat, Parka Type With Pile Liner, SMALL, Air Force Stock No. Dated 30 June 1951 and more. It is marked a small on the jacket collar area tag and on the label.

It has an attached hood. All the buttons are there except one, and that is on the lower left pocket. All the snaps are there and all work just fine. It has a Talon zipper and it works fine.

On the back left above the belt tunnel is a thin area, with a small hole. There are a few other small holes. One is on the left sleeve near the cuff area.

Another 2 small ones are on the right sleeve in the cuff area. Another is on the right back belt tunnel. It has a few small spots. The end of the cuffs on both sleeves are frayed. The liner was in the coat and is an original.

It fits in the jacket just fine. The liners knit cuffs are in great shape.

With the liner in some outside measurements are: armpit to armpit is 25 inches, shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 18 inches and the shoulder seam to end of cuff is 26 inches. It is a thick parka so the measurements inside will be smaller. Please scroll all the way down and read through everything. Most of my items are old, antique or in a used condition.
