Vintage Korean War MSA APH Fighter Pilot Flight Helmet With Retractable Visor

Vintage Korean War MSA APH Fighter Pilot Flight Helmet & Retractable Visor. I could not find a date on the helmet but I believe, from other examples, that this one is from the 1950s.

The piece has been hand painted, and has BEAR as a call sign on back. The interior and rubber pieces are in fair condition, but show signs of age and deterioration. On the inside, the padding is there and appears to be OK however over the earpieces foam sponge material has disintegrated and is gone.

The top piece has come loose inside, too, and may need gluing or the use of some adhesive to stay in place again. There is some wear as would be expected, especially surface scratches, surface rust, and discoloration. The lens of the visor also shows normal surface scratches as well, but operates as it should with the push button mechanism.

Please examine photographs for additional information. The helmet does not have a size label visible but the approximate interior measurements are. 8 wide x 8 1/2 deep x 7 1/4 tall.
