Listing is for a Vintage 1952 Dated Korean War Firestone Produced M2-10A1-6 Lightweight Optical Gas Mask. Rare American Piece, Early Variant from the Korean-War. Optical gas masks are used by soldiers that are required to use assorted optical devices so they were made in significantly lower numbers compared to the common general issue masks. Some of the few types of soldiers that would have optical gas masks would be snipers, recon units, the sighting/aim man for mortar / artillery units and officers / tank commanders for binocular usage. Comes from a Smoke-Free and Pet-Free home.
