This unusual Vanity Fair Parachute is a RARE find. It was made in the Korean War Era and has 28 strings attached from the top center down to the two lower cargo clips. From the top string to it runs nearly 15 feet to the base of the parachute material. (Unknown material whether it be silk or nylon, no idea). The strings continuing far past that to the cargo clips. The material itself, not counting the opening at the top, runs 13 feet from the top center to the base of the parachute green. It has numbers stamped on the base of the material in several places that appear to be corresponding numbers for the 28 string assembly. I dropped some photos in showing the parachute actually open (from old 8mm video film to show size with a 6' man and 5'7 woman).

Their is writing on one side of the base of the canvas camouflage material that says. See some history of Vanity Fair. It has a few small holes and one hole that is. 11 (see close up photo to scale). It is unknown what the few dark spot stains are on this parachute.
