Unfortunately the identification painted in the back of the helmet was scrapped off the helmet. US Navy pilot Leo H. Benker (1918 - 1977) was a WWII and Korean War veteran.
The helmet is in good used condition, with normal wear on the shell and on the liner. It is missing one screw on the PJ 292 microphone plug. The plastic clip of the leather chinstrap is broken but still holds it in place. Please check & enlarge all pictures as they are an important part of the item description.
