KOREAN WAR/VIETNAM WAR U. S. M1 STEEL HELMET withNET & BAND

This is a fine Korean War/ Vietnam War used U. M1 Steel Helmet with liner and band that remains in excellent condition.

The shell is fixed bale, front seam and with the Korean War repainted pea green finish. It is fitted with a nice camouflage net with a great combat used look. There is some damage to the net as can be seen in the photos which appear to be from actual use in combat. Holding the net firmly in place is an original Korean War period elastic band. The chinstraps are of the darker OD green color webbing and are clipped on to the fixed bales.

The ends of the straps are with the quick release type hardware. The liner is with the dark OD green webbing suspension and complete with leather sweatband.

The dome is marked with the Korean War period Westinghouse mark, 22 W. This is a great-looking helmet that saw service in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and one with that desirable, been there look.
