Edwin Lassen 02/05/2005 DELMAR, Iowa -- Edwin E. Lassen, of Delmar, Iowa, died Thursday, February 3, 2005, at Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10 a.

Lassen was born October 7, 1918, in Delmar, to Emil and Louise (Schlemme) Lassen. He married Carmilla McGinn on April 15, 1941, in Davenport, Iowa.

She died on January 28, 1986. He was a captain in the U.

Army during World War II and Korean War. He was a farmer and carpenter in Delmar all of his life. He is survived by one daughter, Lynne Mrs. Bijan Dibadj, of Peoria, Illinois; one son, Gerald (and Karen) Lassen, of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lucille Mrs. Edward Carlson, of Leewood, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, William Lassen, on November 5, 2004, a grandson, Tony Dibadj, in 1978, his parents, and one sister, Juanita Kenny.
